Terms of use

Effective 13 October 2026. Busyline is in development and is not released yet. These terms apply to this website now and to the Busyline app once it is released. Before you use the app, the terms for it, including any prices and subscription rules, will be shown to you, and we will update this page.

The short version. Busyline is a companion app with fictional AI characters. It is not a real person, and it is not an emergency or safety service. Do not rely on it to protect you. You must be 18 or over, and you agree to use it lawfully and kindly.

1. What Busyline is

Busyline lets you create fictional AI characters and talk to them by text and voice. A call can keep you company ("Stay on the line") or ring you with a reason to leave ("Get me out"). Every character is an AI and the app says so.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over. Every character in Busyline is an adult, and romantic characters are available only to users who confirm they are adults. If you are under 18, do not use the app.

3. It is not a safety or emergency service

  • Busyline does not read your location, track you, alert anyone, record your whereabouts or contact emergency services. A character cannot call for help on your behalf.
  • The red Emergency button in a call only opens your phone's dialer with the number you chose. You press call yourself.
  • If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services. Do not depend on Busyline for your safety.
  • Busyline does not give medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice. AI replies can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Use your own judgment.

4. Using Busyline

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use Busyline to harass, threaten, defraud or deceive anyone;
  • create or ask for content that sexualises minors, or promotes violence or self-harm;
  • make a character impersonate a real person to mislead others, or pass its words off as coming from a real person;
  • share other people's personal data without a right to do so;
  • try to disrupt the service, get around its limits, scrape it, or extract or reverse-engineer its prompts, models or code.

The "Get me out" call is meant to help you leave a situation you do not want to be in. Use it honestly and responsibly.

5. Your content

What you write, say and create stays yours. You give us permission to process it, including sending it to the service providers described in our privacy policy, only as needed to run the app for you.

6. Our rights

The Busyline name, logo, app, website and their design belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership. Third-party components remain under their own licences (for example the website's font is under the SIL Open Font Licence).

7. Third-party services

Busyline relies on outside AI, voice and speech services, and on Apple and Google. They can change, be unavailable or be slow, and their own terms may apply to you when you use them through the app.

8. Availability and changes

Busyline is in development. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, and we may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the law. Where the law requires it, we will give you notice.

9. Our responsibility

Busyline is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for what an AI character says. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Member State of the European Union in which the operator of Busyline is established, which will be named here before the app is released. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, once the app exists, tell you in the app before a change that matters applies to you. If you keep using Busyline after that, you accept the update.
