Stay on the line.

Busyline is a voice call from someone you invented. It keeps you company on the way home, or phones you with a reason to leave.

Try the example call: tap Accept. It's an illustration with a written script, not a real call.

Prefer company? Keep me company starts a call that checks in while you ride, walk, wait, or meet someone new.

Screens on this page show the app while it is in development.

Who calls is up to you.

  • Create a friend, a coworker, a mentor. Name them, pick a voice and how they text. Every character is an adult, 18 or over.

  • Chats look like chats. Each one says plainly that it's an AI character, and your chat history is stored on your device.

  • When a call comes in it looks like a call from them. Answer it, or decline.

A Busyline chat with Sam. A note at the top reads: Sam is an AI character. Your chat is stored only on this device. Sam answers a greeting.

Honest by design.

  • It's an AI. Every time.
  • No location.
  • No tracking.
  • Nobody is alerted.
  • Adult characters only.
  • Chat history is saved on your device.
  • You press call yourself.
  • Not an emergency service.

What leaves your phone, plainly.

  • The text of your messages goes to an AI model, so it can reply and summarise.
  • Text for voice notes and call lines goes to a voice provider, to be spoken.
  • Recordings, including what you say on a call, go to a speech-to-text model.
  • These requests are sent with data collection set to deny. Busyline doesn't read or send your location.

Busyline is not an emergency or safety service. The red Emergency button only opens your phone's dialer with the number you chose; you press call. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services.

The app's own note on the call setup screen: They're an AI character. Nothing is shared: no location, no tracking, and nobody is alerted. If you feel unsafe, call emergency services. The red button on the call dials for you.
